Today I received Nabila’s leaving report. I am so pleased to read her impressive n remarkable comments from the teacher. When come to think about this, it is so sad that Nabila couldn’t continue her school there. Miss Smales her teacher is very nice n Nabila loves her so much.
We even got a place already for Hakeem at BSM to enter the Reception class next term. Till now Nadira still couldn’t accept the fact that we’re leaving this soon. I feel sorry for all my children. They love their school n it’s a bit shocked for them knowing they have to part with all their friends.
But life just goes on. We have been here for almost 4 years. Yes.. 4 years n we did ‘survived’. I still remember when we first came here, we didn’t know anybody around here. Not even any Malaysian people. We rented a small 2 rooms apartment n stayed there for two years.
Whatever we do, we did it all alone. We drove to Dubai all by ourself, venture n explore the city with a piece of map in our hand. We went around a few places in Oman by ourself too. We even tried all of kind of foods, shawarma n briyani in Oman on our own.
As time goes by, we met many few Malaysian in Oman. We got to know more people n settled with a few that have the same interest, hobbies n thoughts like us. We spent time n activities together. We are so close n feel like each of us like family n belongs to each other.
I cannot lie that I love this country so much. The place, weather n people are so very welcoming. Hakeem was 9 months n Nabila 1 year+ when they came here. Nadira started in Year 5 when she entered the British School here. Now Hakeem is 4 years old, Nabila 5 n Nadira in year 8.
Maybe it’s time for us to go. Some said, don’t stay too long at one place. After 3 years you have to move. Well.. they are right indeed. Maybe this is the best time for us to leave. Opportunity might strike once in your life time. Grab n make use of it while u can.
