Party for Iman

Last nite we had a birthday party for Adik Iman. As requested by the birthday girl, I cooked blueberry cheesecake, chicken wings n Laksa. We ordered our favourite Papa John pizza as well. We didn’t invite many people. It’s just a small family party but it seems everybody enjoyed it especially the kids.

Iman happily smile n loved the party n presents that she got from all of us. The party ended with the karaoke from the girls.

Our Own Weekend

It’s weekend today. Actually I have planned to have a picnic barb-q with all my friends. But seems Hakeem is still not fully recovered from chickenpox, I guess I have to postpone that till next weekend. Now we have to limit our activities only to indoor .

It has been a few days that my children didn’t go out anywhere. They understand that their little brother is still not feeling very well. So last night, I made something different for our dinner. We had a steamboat dinner. I wanted to invite my other friends as usual but when come to think of Hakeem, I had to cancel that. I don’t want their kids to catch the chickenpox from him.

But it is also won’t be merrier if it’s just our family alone. We invited the ‘bujang-bujang’Nazri, Razak, Mior n not to forget Udik, Uci n Laila. We enjoyed the food n our self. Udik, Uci n Laila came a bit later as they have to settle their private matter.

As for the girls, my hubby n I just can't believe it! They were having camping outside the house. They laid down the mattress n all the sleeping stuffs on the floor behind my back compound. They insisted to sleep out there. Before we can say anything to them, they already fell asleep. Three of them snuggled to each other till this morning.

p/s: I always forgot to take the photo after each time I had lay out nicely the food on the table. Maybe coz I was rushing here n there. Next time I will make sure to remember it!

Dreams May Come

I am waiting for good news. It is something that I am looking forward to. Something that I really want to. But it is also something that I am not sure that I will get it or not. But it is not wrong to give hope for it. It’s just I have to keep telling myself not to put high hope on it so much. If I don’t get it, I will get frustrated!

I still remember my mom used to say, it’s ok to have dreams. It’s free n u don’t have to pay any single cent for it. So go ahead n have dreams if that makes u feel better. But of course u have to be realistic with whatever u dreams of.

I can say that I am quite creative in having dreams n imaginations, especially during the time when I want to go to sleep at night. Lots of ideas n dreams came to my mind about myself, family, home n future. Since I was small, I believe that miracles do happen. A few occasions in my life proved that. And there were also a few of my dreams came true.

For this one good news that I'm waiting n hoping for, I pray it will become true. Insyaalah.

Cooking Pleasure

Ask any moms in the world, what make they love to cook? What gives them pleasure? It is when whatever they cook, the children love to eat. That’s the best part.

I love to cook. Now I have all my children here (except Faizah) enjoying whatever I cooked n asking everyday what’s the menu for the day. I always made quite large amount of quantity so it can be eaten for the dinner as well. But it could always last until evening. The girls just love to eat. Sometimes I wonder where they put n squeeze all the foods in their small tummy.

Yesterday I made Nasi Ayam for lunch. The day before was asam pedas n talam ubi for tea time. When I looked at them eating, I do feel proud of myself. A satisfaction n pleasure seeing my children enjoying the food. Today I cooked sambal tumis ikan bilis tempe n baked macaroni for tea-time.

Every time when they eat, Nurul especially will say – sedap lah mommy.. sedap lah.. Even Nabila who is still small always knows how to please me. A few times she said ‘Mommy, everything u cook r always nice. I love to eat whatever u cooked’

I might not be a celebrity chef or a good cook either. I am just like any other moms who cook daily dishes for their kids. I even sometimes get my kids to involve with the cooking. Hakeem n Nabila loves to peel the carrots or potatoes skin. They even fighting over who’s gonna stir the cake batter.

Isn’t it wonderful? All the messy n weariness that u had for all the preparations are worth n paid for when u see your children enjoying n finishing your cooking.

Now I have a long list of requested menu that neec to be cooked for the kids. I will be very busy then.

Get Better Soon, Hakeem

It has been 3 days since Hakeem having a chickenpox. It started with one or two spots n now it has spread all over his face, head n body. Pitty my boy.. Alhamdullilah Hakeem doesn’t has so much trouble in handling it.

He didn’t have high fever n itchy all over his body. Maybe it is because the weather now is cool n relaxing. He is still active n jumping around playing except once in a while moaning when he feels pain at some part where the rashes are.

He is now staying at home watching TV, eating, playing with his big sisters. I pray that Nabila won’t be contagious by this virus n including everybody in this house. I also hope that Hakeem will get better soon.

I dropped by at his school yesterday morning to inform the teacher that he won’t be coming to school for a while. The teacher said that there are 9 other children are sick n some of them having chickenpox. And that’s where Hakeem got the virus.

I remember old people saying that the chickenpox won’t stop until it has covered the whole body. Hakeem only got covered until his buttock. Whatever it is, please let my dearest boy get better soon.
