The new 'Ina Naim'

Macam-macam lah kau Ina.... takpe lah.. janji glemer!!
Ina Naim in the paper clip put conditions to those who invite her to sing must also innvite her husband - Suhaimi as well.. ????? (can they sing?)

They denied the previous interviewed. She said she didn't mind to be invited alone, it is just if she n her hubby sing together they will give a good discount package. (whatever.. like people want to..)

She told reporters that she wouldn't want to wear pants anymore in any photograph sessions. It is because pants are man's attire! Only baju kurung n those yang menutup aurat. (do you have to tell the whole world? like we care??)

The Fact of Al-Quran

Al-Quran is a small, though unique book, in many aspects. No other book claims to be the very words of God as spoken in the first person. No other book claims to be without error or contradiction, originating from the one who has "knowledge of everything". No other book provides falsification to prove it wrong, as demanded by the scientific community and finally no other book challenges people of learning to a final debate of authenticity based on knowledge and verification.

In fact some of the information that we come across in the Al-Quran was not known until about 40 years back and some of it was not known until the day it was read in the Al-Quran by scientists just a few years ago. Below is some facts n knowledge that I found to share with. You can visit this website for more information.

All about 'Filem'

Berikut adalah perbezaan antara filem/drama MELAYU, CINA dan INDIA.

Drama/Filem Melayu
1. 80% jalan cerita berkisar tentang:
a. Cinta.
b. Cinta 3 segi.
c. Cinta 4 segi.
d. Anak-anak rebut harta pusaka.
e. Kalau keluarga kaya, anak2 rebut sapa nak gantikan Tan Sri (ayah) jadi Pengerusi, CEO atau Presiden syarikat.
2. Walau pun cerita pasal awek kilang, rumah awek kilang ni mesti complete furnished. Ada TV 29", Home Teatre, peti sejuk besar, set sofa mewah.(Director tak buat home work ker? Pegi la tengok umah awek kilang kat Sungei Way tu).
3. Cerita polis lak, dialah pegawai penyiasat, dialah jadi forensic, dialah jadi pathologist, dialah yang gi ambush. Semuanya DIA yang buat.Polis lak dialog pakai bahasa buku. "Saya rasa kita patut siasat dengan lebih terperinci tuan". "Betul cadangan awak itu. Kita bertindak sekarang".
4. Kalau cerita pasal Construction, bawak satu pelan gulung, pakai topi KUNING, tunjuk-tunjuk kat bangunan tengah buat, discuss dengan 'kepala' Indon komplen kenapa projek lambat siap kat Indon tadi. (Topi kuning utk pekerja buruh la bang).
5. Adegan doktor kat Wad check pesakit. Ambik fail hujung katil, selak-selak. Dialog wajib : "Kesihatan awak bertambah baik. Banyakkan berehat dan jangan lupa makan ubat ". (Woi bang, tengokla cerita ER tu, Dr ada medical terms dia).
6. Adegan kat umah. Ayah mesti tengah baca paper, Mak mesti tengah menjahit atau lipat baju. Orang gaji tengah basuh pinggan. Orang gaji mesti nama dia Mak Nab atau Mak Jah.
7. Nak panjangkan rakaman filem mesti ada adegan kereta sampai kat rumah, bukak pintu kereta, bukak pintu pagar, masuk balik kereta, drive masuk car porch, keluar, tutup pintu pagar.
8. Adegan sembahyang mesti dah salam akhir or adegan mengaji Quran mesti dahsampai part sadakallah hulazim. (Cover line kot).
9. Gangster atau kuncu orang jahat mesti pakai baju takder lengan, pakai rantai danpakai bracelet.
10. Nak bagi sedih gila, mesti buat adegan dah tahu nak mati pasal kena barah otak.

Drama/Filem Cina
1. Cerita Kungfu, hero terror boleh terbang. Tapi sambung pengembaraan mesti jalankaki. Apsal tak terbang jek. Kan cepat sampai.
2. Hero mesti miskin gila. Tapi mesti ada sekeping or 2 kepingduit siling kat celahlengan besar jubah dia.
3. Kalau cerita moden hero boleh lawan dan tewaskan 30 orang penjahat serentak.
4. Biasalah, kalau kena tembak mesti kat bahu or kat kaki. Tak mati.
5. Heroin mesti jadi bini or girlfriend boss penjahat dan jatuh cinta kat hero.
6. Hero mesti menembak pakai 2 pistol, kiri dan kanan. Macam Chow Yuen Fatt dalamfilem 'A Better Tomorrow'. Tapi best ooo.....
7. Pistol hero mesti peluru tak habis2. Tak payah reload.
8. Cerita hantu, hantu dia biasanya pakai bedak muka tebal2 danhitamkan kelilingmata. Kat bibir ada darah meleleh. ( Tak seram pun ).
9. Kalau cerita lucu plak, mesti ada adegan air liur meleleh keluar mulut macam air paip.
10. Cerita Blue dia pun tak best. Awek mengerang jek lebih.

Drama/Filem India/Hindustan
2. Orang jahat digambarkan tersangat jahat sampai lembu pun takut.
3. Selalunya depa suka ciplak bulat2 filem barat macam Pretty Woman, Face Off danHeat.
4. Paling pendek pun jangkamasa tayangan adalah 3 jam.
5. Orang jahat dan hero payah nak mati walaupun kepala dah kena ketuk dengan tukul besi.
6. Hero tak kena tembak walaupun ditembak dari jarak satu kaki.
7. Adegan joget sambil menyanyi akan melibatkan penari iringan seramai satu kampong dan bertukar 7 atau 8 pasang pakaian untuk setiap lokasi hanya untuk satulagu.
8. Adegan keretapi tak leh tertinggal. Joget reramai sampai atas bumbung keretapi.
9. Kalau cerita moden, dialog mesti bercampur bahasa omputeh danHindi. Contoh' I'm sorry. I didn't know that na pere tomhecha....bla....bla....bla...'.

Memory of Ramadhan - Part 3

Another 7 days we’ll celebrate Eid Fitri. I am sure all the station radios now have been playing lagu raya. Ooh.. I missed that. Last Wednesday I was away (reason why I had not been posting for a few days) to Al-Ain. My family n Hj Zunaidi went to visit our dear friend Professor Iskandar who is now in ICU at Tawam Hospital. It took us about 5 hours to go there from Muscat.

We left Muscat at 3.00pm Wednesday. During that long journey, it reminds me when I used to drive to go back to Alor Setar - ‘balik kampung’. I used to go back 1 or 2 days before Raya with my brothers. Lebuhraya Utara Selatan was packed with so many cars. The cars were crawling so slowly. If u wanted to go to any R & R (emengercy nak gi toilet ke) u better wait until u pass of Ipoh. You’ll have no chances at all to exit to any R&R. Jammed n packed with all the cars. But I guessed nobody complaint about that because that’s one of the Raya spirit for Malaysian!

The radio station in Muscat has a program who they interviewed all nationalities who celebrate Eid in Oman. That included Malaysia, Brunei n Singapore. One evening when I was cooking for Iftar, I suddenly heard lagu raya from the radio. It was Hail Amir n Uji Rashid. I was jumping overjoyed n shouted to everybody in the house. ‘Lagu raya.. lagu raya kat radio Oman!!!’ Everybody were running to the radio n listen to the song. So funny.. Throughout our journey to Al-Ain we had been playing lagu raya CD. Oohh.. we did miss all that.

To Professor’s family, we pray to Allah that they will be strong to go thru all this. Last night we had organized solat hajat n yasin for him. Insyaalah everything will be fine.

p/s: my favourite lagu raya is by M.Nasir – Suatu hari di hari raya…

Memory of Ramadhan - Part 2

During ramadhan when I was back in Malaysia, it’s like a tradition to me n my hubby to break fast at the hotel. Nothing fancy.. it’s just that we would love to try out all kinds of food that being served. We are not really a big eater n a buffet person but the atmosphere n the surrounding that make us want to do that every year.

Last night my hubby’s company organized Iftar for the staffs. We never failed to go there every year since we came to Oman. Every year we had been served with the same kind of foods. It’s always at the end of dinner we went back home with non-satisfactory n grumbled about the foods. You know what is our problem? We always compare with the foods that we had back in Malaysia.

It doesn’t sound fair right.. but Ramadhan always made your mind inspired with all kind of imaginations n illusions of Malaysian foods. We do miss those juadah during ramadhan especially the one you can find in Pasar Juadah or Pasar Ramadhan. Oohhh… nyam nyam…

The price for the Iftar buffet here is so damn expensive. At Malaysia most hotels will charge the Iftar buffet from RM30 – RM100. But here in Oman the hotel will charge with minimum of OMR15 (RM150). It doesn’t worth at all for people like us to go there. And that’s why we end up having our own kind of Malaysian dinner at home that we love so much.

Like old folks say 'Hujan Emas ditempat orang, hujan batu ditempat sendiri.. lebih baik ditempat sendiri'

Waris Jari Hantu

Finally I had a chance to watch some movies yesterday. I choosed to watch Waris Jari Hantu. I like to watch Malay movies n u guys can call me a sort of Malay movies fan or ‘mereka mereka yang menyokong filem industri filem melayu'. I didn’t really go to cinema nowadays n I might be the last person to enjoy n watch the film as I have to wait for the CD version or the ‘cetak rompak’ one!

This film is about best friends (Tina n Ari) who are related to the custodian of the spiritual tiger, Tok Wan Rimau. Tok Wan (Azean Irdawaty) n her spiritual tiger is searching for a female heir to inherit her powers. This story may sound kind of ridiculous n nonsensical to some of the viewers because of those karut marut things but it does really happen in part of our world.

For me this is not too extreme compare to some of the Indonesian movies that sometimes are so illogical n make no sense at all! Congratulations to the director, Suhaimi Baba. You had given a new dimension to the Malaysian Film Industries. This film has won a few awards in 20th Malaysian Film Festival 2007 recently.

The film n Suhaimi Baba herself has won the Best Director, Best Original Story n Best Original Music Score. Bravo to Rusdi Ramli for the Best Actor (ko memang deserve this nyah.. kelas lakonan ko). Last but not least, the infamous actress Azean Irdawati has grabbed for herself the Best Actress in the supporting role.

To the one million dollar director – Yusup Selam (oops.. Yusuf Haslam) wake up man.. Nowadays people don’t watch cintan cintun film anymore. Stop taking advantage on the singers to be the hero/heroin in your film. Get real man..

Memory of Ramadhan - Part 1

Times just run so fast. As I’m typing this it is just another 12 days, 18 hours, 51 minute 10 seconds countdown to Aidil Fitri. That means we have been fasting for 18 days. This is my 6th year of Ramadhan abroad. During my first year I was so sad to be away from my family n relatives especially when that was also the first year I celebrated Ramadhan n Eid without my beloved Mom. My dad came to our place to celebrate Eid n with the news that he’ll be getting married again. Ooh…

I will never forget those days when I always helped my mom to make cookies. Sometimes she made cookies for sales too (upon requests from some of her friends). Her speciality was pineapple tart, biskut suji, samperit n chocolate flakes n not to forget her best super delicious acar buah.

My arwah Mama is a great cook. She knew best each of her children's favourite foods. So each time when we came back for holiday, she always cooked our favourite food. During Ramadhan is the best time to make ‘special request’ of what we wanted to eat from her. Even though she’s busy working at the office, she never failed to filled up the table with all delicious scrumptious foods! I will never forget when me n my brothers were so small, we used to gather around the table waiting eagerly looking at the food for our Iftar.

Well.. that was those.. those.. days.. It will sure make us smiles when we think about our childhood memories. I miss my mom a lot. I miss ayah, my brothers n all my relatives back in Kedah. Maybe I will be able to celebrate Ramadhan n Eid with them in another 3 years time. I wish n hope that Ayah will still be around..
